If you know how many emails to write and when to send them, you’ve got a flawless email strategy

Email strategy is SO much more than just how many emails to write and when to send them out.

There’s the buyer’s journey, app usage, user behavior, segmentation, content planning, and so ???? much ???? more. That’s what makes it so much fun! 

Email strategy is all about puzzling together every aspect of the subscriber’s journey as they interact with a brand, buy from the brand, and learn to use the product — and even more!

What’s even better is that email strategy can be as dynamic and complex as you want it to be. You’re in the driver’s seat as the Email Strategist.

So, you don’t have to burn out on 12-email linear sequences on the fibonacci cadence.

Because when you really dig into the meat of email strategy you’ll be able to:

I’m not sure I like SaaS, but I’m feeling the revenue ceiling. Should I join the SaaS track?
A lot of copywriters think they don’t like SaaS – and then are surprised to hear what SaaS really means. 

Hint: it’s not just boring finance companies. Canva is a SaaS. Spotify is a SaaS. Even MealTrain is SaaS.

SaaS is just a fancy term for something that is provided online, typically on a subscription basis. The teams that work for SaaS companies are usually motivated and fun, the audiences they serve are crazy diverse, and their brand voices run the gamut from super jargon to super chill.

But one thing all SaaS have in common? Users need heavy support to learn the product and feel its value – aka they need you to write lots of emails for them!

I’ve been thinking about getting into Ecomm, but I’m worried it’s more about design than copy. What's your take?
It’s a myth that ecommerce emails are just sale, sale, sale, picture, picture, picture. It’s also a myth that text-based emails for ALL ecommerce emails is the better strategy.

The truth is it’s all about finding a balance between Instagram-worthy product pictures and conversion-driven copy. And that’s where strategy comes in. As an Email Strategist, you’ll be able to find the best ratio of pictures to text based on your client’s specific audience, product and challenges.

In other words, design is absolutely important when marketing an ecommerce product, but as always, copy leads design. Just as important: strategy leads copy.

Um… this all sounds really advanced. Am I too beginner for this?
Well, that depends a bit.

I know about a lot of this stuff already. Am I too advanced for this?
If you’re already confidently building successful email strategies for SaaS and/or Ecommerce companies that make writing effective and profitable emails a breeze, then you probably don’t need this program.
